Project update: HyperVIBES
HyperVIBES was released last week!! 🎉🎉
It is a fully permissionless, free, and open protocol that was built by the Rarible DAO.
This is one of the first projects built in-house (in a very short time period as well). The aim was to generate community experimentation, build NFT public goods (in public) while challenging the status quo.
Here is how HyperVIBES works (short):
It lets you infuse ERC-20s (e.g. $RARI) into ERC-721s (NFTs)
You can fully customize the distribution parameters of the infused ERC-20s
HyperVIBES is “multi-tenanted”: one ERC-721 can be infused with different ERC-20s, with their custom parameters as part of so-called “Realms” (tenants)
HyperVIBES opens up a new space for experimentation around NFTs. Furthermore, anyone can use it without having to code. There are a bunch of use cases to explore around curation, governance tokens, liquidity provision, and many more that we have yet to discover.
Want to know more or start experimenting? Check out the website, app, and docs. It’s time to go down the Rabbit hole! 🐇🕳️
Thanks to the DAO contributors who built and shipped this! 👏👏
Early thoughts on Rarible DAO structure 2.0
As our DAO is growing we are constantly thinking of ways to improve our way of working. In the last community call, Eric shared initial thoughts on a potential reorganization of the DAO. DAOs tend to sacrifice speed of execution for decentralization. What would a hybrid approach look like?
The key idea that Eric shared would be to allow parts of the DAO to operate more like traditional companies (Web 2) under a foundation-type structure. This could enable us to move more quickly and to more aggressively reach our goal of growing the protocol. More on this soon!
