Project updates
Background: CocoNFT makes it super easy for Instagram creators to mint their Instagram posts as NFTs. They’re one of the earliest projects joining the DAO and they’ve come a long way.
Updates: CocoNFT is nearing launch. The team is still iterating on their new website. The idea is to create a UX similar to Instagram to make the experience seamless. For now, a buyer is redirected to Rarible.com to purchase the NFT. After launch, the team wants to work on their own storefront.
Background: This project recently received a grant from the DAO, following the passing of this proposal.
Updates: The team wants to create a crowd investing protocol with fractionalization, purchasing, and management. The team wants to implement crowd management mechanics that will enable investors to make decisions through a DAO around the NFT. More on this soon 👀
Background: MintGate allows the “Token gating” of web content. Its infrastructure allows the creation of NFTs which can give its holders access to ‘exclusive’ content (i.e. links, videos, and any form of media). MintGate acts as a decentralized content delivery network (CDN), serving the gated content to the token holders. MintGate enables a completely new range of models for creators to interact with their audiences through NFTs. ✨
Updates: You can now like content on Mintgate. Liked posts will also appear in your “following” section. You are also now able to edit your token gated links and the team relaunched the support for audio NFTs. Furthermore, the team has launched support for custom domain marketplaces. This means that users can launch their NFT storefront on a custom domain. More on this in their latest blog post: Mintgate Jam (9/27/2021).
Background: Non-Fungible People (NFP) is a project creating 3D animated generative artworks, rendered from a user’s Twitter profile. This allows anyone to lazymint these tokens to others (e.g. to a community). These NFTs can then also unlock content and perks using Mintgate for example.
Updates: NFPeople is approaching their launch. They are slowly revealing more about the different tiers and variations of NFPs based on one’s Twitter profile. Read up on it in their latest article.
